Piaget in the 1980s was on a tear, quietly rewriting the rules of elegance while the rest of the world was busy turning up the volume. This Ref. 4087D might be considered a more subdued vintage offering — if not for the spectacular 'falcon's eye' dial set within its white gold case, that is. Tank-like in proportions with a 20mm diameter and and smooth brancards, it features a small unsigned crown, an acrylic crystal, and the aforementioned speckled black dial derived from a stone in the quartz family. Fitted with a set of white gold 'dauphine' hands and signed with the Piaget wordmark, it's powered by a hand-wound movement. Paired to a cool and unusual leather strap with alternating white gold links that mimic the shape of the watch's case, it's finished with a white gold pin buckle.
