Hoya Gunung Gading Ghost Hoya sp. Gunung Gading ‘Ghost’ is a rare and highly collectible Hoya known for its pale, ghostly leaf appearance and elegant tropical character. This unique Hoya offers a refined look for collectors who appreciate unusual foliage, soft silvery tones, and distinctive regional forms from Southeast Asia. Plant Characteristics Hoya Gunung Gading Ghost typically features firm, slightly succulent leaves with a smooth to lightly textured surface. The foliage may show pale green, silvery, or muted “ghost-like” tones depending on light, maturity, and growing conditions. As a vining Hoya, it can be grown on a trellis, allowed to trail, or styled in a hanging basket. With proper care, this plant can mature into a beautiful cascading specimen with long vines and attractive foliage display. Care Guide This Hoya prefers bright, indirect light to maintain healthy growth and attractive leaf coloration. Allow the growing medium to dry slightly between waterings, as Hoyas do not like to stay overly wet. For best results, grow it in moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60% or higher. Keep temperatures warm and stable, preferably between 65–85°F. A chunky, well-draining mix with orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, and airy potting media is recommended to support healthy roots. Why Collectors Love It Collectors love Hoya Gunung Gading Ghost for its rare appearance, elegant pale foliage, and strong collector appeal. Its unusual leaf tone makes it stand out among other rare Hoya varieties, especially in curated tropical plant collections.
